MIR Milan extends exclusive distribution to GHM for MENA
MIR Medical International Research, headquartered in Milan, and Global Horizon Medical have extended their supplier relationship into a formal exclusive distribution agreement covering the MENA region across spirometry, sleep diagnostics, and cardiorespiratory product lines. The agreement was signed in Q1 2026 and runs initially for thirty-six months with renewal terms tied to volume and audit performance.
The decision reflects two years of audited supply between the two companies, with zero field failures recorded across the deployed install base and joint participation in regional Ministry of Health tender responses in Algeria, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
What the exclusivity covers
The exclusive scope spans MIR's spirometry portfolio, sleep diagnostic monitors, and the cardiorespiratory testing products that have been entering MENA through ad-hoc orders since 2024. Under the new agreement, GHM is the single contracted route to market for these product families across our defined territory, which includes North Africa, the Levant, and the GCC.
Crucially, exclusivity does not mean closed-door distribution. We continue to onboard regional sub-distributors and ministry-tier resellers, but contracting flows through the GHM Hong Kong commercial desk and the documentation flows through the MIR Milan technical authority. One paper trail, two signatures.
Engineering and field support
MIR's engineering team will continue to provide on-site commissioning support for the first year following any hospital install above five units. That posture survived the negotiation deliberately. We were not interested in an exclusivity that traded buyer-side service quality for cleaner contract terms — and MIR was not interested in losing the line of sight into how its products are deployed clinically.
What that looks like in practice: a pulmonology department in Algiers takes delivery of ten MIR spirometers, a MIR field engineer flies in for a two-day commissioning workshop, biomedical staff are trained on calibration, and the unit-level service contracts are routed through GHM-coordinated regional service partners afterward.
What expands in 2026
MIR products already represented in the GHM catalogue will be expanded across the respiratory-care and diagnostic categories over Q2 and Q3 2026. The first additions, scheduled for product page release in May 2026, are the ambulatory cardiorespiratory monitor family and the desktop spirometry units intended for primary-care clinic deployment.
